About Us

The people holding everything together shouldn't have to do it alone.

We are a nursing-led health services practice built for caregivers navigating the hardest chapters of Alzheimer's and dementia care — with clinical depth, cultural awareness, and genuine compassion.

Our Mission

Caring for the Caregiver exists to make sure the people holding everything together don't fall apart in the process.

We provide nursing-led health services that support individuals and families navigating the complexities of Alzheimer's disease and related neurocognitive conditions — with clinical depth, cultural awareness, and genuine compassion at the center of everything we do.

Our Story

There's something most people don't talk about when a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia.

The sleepless nights. The behavioral changes that don't make sense. The questions no one seems to have clear answers to. The slow, quiet erosion of your own wellbeing as you pour everything into someone else's care.

You didn't sign up to navigate a complex healthcare landscape alone. And you shouldn't have to.

Caring for the Caregiver was built for you — to provide the structured, clinical support that caregivers deserve but rarely receive.

Caring for the Caregiver

"Because caring for someone you love shouldn't mean losing yourself in the process."

Clinical Leadership

Over 30 years of nursing experience — in your corner.

Caring for the Caregiver is led by Dr. Caryn Blair, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC — a Doctor of Nursing Practice-prepared clinician and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With over three decades at the intersection of behavioral health, neurocognitive care, and real-world clinical practice, Dr. Blair brings a depth of expertise that is rare in this space. Our work is grounded in current nursing evidence-based practice. When we develop a care plan, it isn't generic. It's built around the specific behavioral health needs of your loved one, the specific pressures you're carrying as a caregiver, and the cultural context that shapes how your family experiences care.

What We Offer

Nursing-led services built for this journey.

Every care plan is built around three things: your loved one's clinical needs, your needs as a caregiver, and the cultural context your family brings.

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Assessments

Thorough clinical evaluations that identify behavioral and cognitive patterns — providing clarity, not surface-level answers.

Caregiver-Inclusive Care Planning

You are not a bystander. We build care plans with you as an active participant — providing health information that supports informed decision-making.

Supportive Nursing Services

Ongoing, responsive nursing care that evolves as needs change — because this journey doesn't stay still.

Why It Matters

The research is clear.

When caregivers have access to qualified health professionals and structured support, both their outcomes and the outcomes of those they care for improve. That connection is at the heart of everything we do. No matter where you are in the caregiving journey — newly diagnosed family, years into the process, or somewhere in between — Caring for the Caregiver meets you where you are, with the clinical expertise and human understanding this journey requires.
